Health Sciences is the major focus of academic programming and research at Lambton College accounting for more than 25% of the College’s overall enrollment and over 800 students per year. Lambton offers a range of health sciences programs including Bachelor of Science-Nursing, Practical Nursing, Personal Support Worker, Pharmacist Technician, Massage Therapy and Recreation Therapy. In 2019, as a commitment to Research and Health Sciences and in an effort to increase health-related research, Lambton established the $30M NOVA Chemicals Health & Research Centre which houses the Research & Innovation department and Health Sciences programming labs and advanced technology simulation facilities. Lambton College has been nationally ranked in the top 5 research colleges in Canada for the last 6 years, with a #1 ranking in 2018.
Lambton College also supports various research groups that contribute to health and medical research. These groups include Lambton Energy Research Centre, Lambton Manufacturing Innovation Centre, Centre for Industrial Material Development, Lambton Water Centre, Information Technology and Communication Research Centre and Bio-Industrial Process Research Centre.
