Guest Speakers: DR. ADAM NIEDZIELSKI - MINISTER OF HEALTH, POLAND and DR. GRZEGORZ CESSAK, PRESIDENT OF THE OFFICE FOR REGISTRATION OF MEDICINAL PRODUCTS AND MEDICAL DEVICES

Our guest speakers are from the Polish Health delegation visiting Toronto; they will present on current and future e-health trends in Poland.

Dr. Adam Niedzielski graduated from SGH Warsaw School of Economics with degrees in two fields: economics and quantitative information systems. An expert in the field of public management, he also obtained a PhD in economics from the Institute of Economics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in 2003.

His professional career began at the Ministry of Finance; he also worked at the Supreme Audit Office, the Ministry of Justice, and the Social Insurance Institution. From 23 November 2016, he served as Director General at the Ministry of Finance.

From 12 July 2018, Adam Niedzielski was the deputy president of the National Health Fund for Operations, as well as acting president of the National Health Fund starting from 18 July 2019. By the decision of the Minister of Health of 10 October 2019, Mr Niedzielski was appointed president of the National Health Fund.

On 26 August 2020, he was appointed Minister of Health.

Dr. Grzegorz Cessak is a graduate of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Medical Academy in Warsaw (currently the Medical University of Warsaw) and specialized in industrial technology (synthesis of drugs). In November 2016, he obtained the title of doctor of health sciences in the field of pharmacology at the First Faculty of Medicine of the Medical University of Warsaw, defending his doctoral dissertation entitled: "Registration and clinical aspects of bioequivalence of psychotropic medicinal products".

Since July 1, 2009, he has been the President of the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products, and since May 1, 2011, the President of the Office has been the central government administration authority competent for the marketing of medicinal products, registration and supervision of the market of medical devices, admission the marketing of biocidal products and clinical trials, including veterinary clinical trials.
