Join the LSO team for our hybrid road trip across the province!
Each session will explore 4 specific ecosystems in Ontario to find out what the Life Sciences sector looks like in their region, what makes their region unique, and what resources are available. This year, we have 3 in-person options available along with virtual opportunities to attend for all 4 days.
All presentations for each day will be from 9:00am - 10:00am. Registration for the onsite events will open at 8:00am for breakfast and networking prior to the presentations.

Hosted by Invest in Guelph and Innovation Guelph in partnership with Life Sciences Ontario, we are pleased to participate in the Cross-Province Road trip showcasing Life Sciences within the province. Guelph is home to a Life Sciences industry cluster due to the concentration of interconnected businesses, supply chain linkages and associated ecosystem supports. During this event, you can expect breakfast, three to four presentations from local Guelph businesses and the opportunity to network with other attendees, representatives from the presenting companies and staff from Innovation Guelph and the City of Guelph’s Economic Development team.

Join us for a breakfast and networking event showcasing the vibrant life sciences sector in our region. Discover why the area stands as the ideal hub for companies immersed in life sciences, while spotlighting the exceptional local enterprises that have been making waves in this space.
Leaders in community health, medical device manufacturers, and innovators are driving growth in the life sciences and med-tech sectors in the County of Simcoe, and in the Cities of Barrie and Orillia. The region’s life sciences sector is anchored by the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) and is home to the headquarters of national and international med-tech innovators. The area is also home to leading education programs developed to fuel growth in this sector, including applied, graduate, post-graduate, and professional development programs offered at Georgian College and Lakehead University, along with RVH’s partnerships with the University of Toronto and York University. This well-developed network of advanced manufacturers, academic institutions, government stakeholders, and business innovation services is crucial to growing the regional sector and driving new innovations.
What you can expect:
The event will kick off with a networking breakfast session followed by a site tour (transportation included) to two local organizations. Environmental Systems Corporation will also be hosting a grand opening in celebration of their recent expansion within the city.

Ontario colleges play a vital role in supporting industry and community with an applied research approach. This session will introduce you to three Northern colleges who are active within life sciences applied research and provide and overview of their approach and the benefit to partners who engage. Each college will describe their equipment, expertise, and infrastructure that is used to support industry partner needs and highlight a key example of their research success. College presenters include Cambrian College, Canadore College, and Collège Boréal. Join us in learning more about what colleges can do for you and how to leverage your needs and contributions more effectively with our support.
