LSO applauds the Ontario government’s proposed new Life Sciences Strategy

Toronto, Ontario – March 31st, 2022 – Life Sciences Ontario (LSO) applauds the Ontario government’s proposed new Life Sciences Strategy. For years, LSO and our partners from the life sciences sector have been advocating for a coordinated life sciences strategy that can help support early-stage companies, attract new investment, and encourage early adoption of Ontario-made innovations in our hospitals and health system. We are pleased that Ontario is taking the steps needed to turn this vision into reality, including through the establishment of a Life Sciences Council that will see government work in partnership with the life sciences community to advance the strategy and ensure long-term growth and competitiveness within the sector. “This strategy is a recognition of the significant contributions made by our sector in building a stronger and healthier Ontario. We look forward to working with government partners on the roll out of the strategy in the months and years to come.”– Dr. Jason Field, President and CEO Life Sciences Ontario   See below to read more on LSO’s advocacy on the life sciences strategy: To access LSO’s Blueprint for a Coordinated Ontario Life Sciences Strategy, click here.
