Humber Polytechnic is Canada’s largest polytechnic and a leading partner to Ontario’s life sciences and health care sectors. Humber collaborates with companies, hospitals, and community organizations to advance product development, applied research, and workforce innovation.
Through the Faculty of Health & Life Sciences, Humber provides partners with advanced simulation environments, interprofessional training, and a unique cadaveric learning facility that supports realistic testing, procedural development, and human factors evaluation. Major Academic Practice Partnerships, including collaborations with William Osler Health System and medical laboratory partners, enable codesigned training models, innovation pilots, and scalable workforce solutions.
On the R&D side, Humber helps collaborators accelerate innovation by leveraging internal, provincial, and federal grant programs. Many partners have achieved returns of up to five to one through coordinated funding strategies and applied research support.
With state-of-the-art labs and six interdisciplinary Faculties, Humber offers an integrated platform for applied research in nursing, diagnostics, biomedical sciences, digital health, informatics, and intelligent systems.
